It is in a 'doom loop' where failing leadership gets elected over and over. It is very sad the demise of this once great city. You have a high probability of being T-boned by a stolen car. Be warned that you, if you are involved in an accident, will encounter someone with no insurance, no drivers license, no license plates and perhaps will be armed.
The later it gets downtown the more likely really serious crime will occur. Don't leave ANYTHING visible in your car. It happens frequently! Read todays Post-Dispatch to see the result. Don't walk into the street until you are certain there are no cars doing 60-90 MPH. Second, if you have not been downtown for a while it is very dangerous. When you visit our fair city: Saturday there is zero parking available ALL DAY any where near the soccer venue and that includes the Arch Madness venue.
